Act Six Affiliates
Affiliates and Colleges
The Act Six National Office at the Northwest Leadership Foundation establishes partnerships with local urban ministry affiliates to implement local Act Six initiatives.
Currently, there are two Act Six affiliates partnering with seven colleges in the Northwest:
- Northwest Leadership Foundation (Washington
State)
sending scholars from Tacoma, Seattle, and Spokane to
Whitworth University (Spokane)
Pacific Lutheran University (Tacoma)
Northwest University (Kirkland)
Gonzaga University (Spokane)
Trinity Lutheran College (Everett) - Portland Central Young Life (Portland, OR)
sending scholars from Portland to
George Fox University (Newberg)
Warner Pacific College (Portland)
Local affiliates are responsible for forming and maintaining partnerships with colleges and scholarship providers that facilitate the recruitment, selection, training, funding and inspirational support of scholars in a fashion that honors Act Six core principles. Each affiliate and its partners are responsible for the legal, organizational and fund-raising aspects of the local initiative.
The Act Six National Office provides assistance through consultation, encouragement, training, provision of materials and sharing of best practices. In addition, the Act Six National Office works with the affiliate to improve the effectiveness of its program through an accreditation and performance assessment process.
